Online Master of Science in Accounting

The Online MSA program is designed for working professionals and students who wish to pursue an accounting master’s degree. The advanced coursework will help students prepare for or further a career in professional accounting while earning credit toward obtaining a CPA license. Students will take a total of 30 units of graduate-level coursework. This consists of 18 units of required online accounting courses, as well as 12 units of selected online MBA and accounting electives. Our online courses allow the flexibility that working professionals need while still providing quality personal interactions between students and professors.  Each online course is 8 weeks in length.

The program has six different start dates each year of Fall I, Fall II, Spring I, Spring II, Summer I, and Summer II, with rolling admissions.        

Technology Requirements 

Online MSA students will be using a variety of online applications including discussion boards and chats.  Click here for a list of the technology requirements for the program.  In addition to the requirements listed on the linked page, speakers, a microphone, and an external webcam with at least a five foot USB cord are also required for your proctored exams.  Please make sure that your equipment meets the technical requirements listed.

Required Courses

The Online MSA program consists of 30 units of required work.

Students must also pass a written comprehensive MSA examination at the end of the program as a requirement for graduation.

The Online MSA program requires 18 units of graduate accounting work. The remaining 12 units may be approved online MBA non-accounting business courses.
